1st Grade
Hello, my name is Dolores (Mrs. Barrios), and I have the honor of being the first-grade teacher at beautiful St. Patrick School. My story is quite common; I come from a very large family—I have nine siblings: five brothers and four sisters. I am from a tiny town in the state of Zacatecas, Mexico. I am happily married; by the grace of God, we are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this year. We have four children—one son and three daughters—and our family has grown even more with the arrival of a beautiful granddaughter who just turned one. My educational journey was a bit different; I pursued my academic education as an adult, though I am certain it was God's plan for me. I earned my GED in 2017 and enrolled at Butler Community College—in my opinion, one of the best community colleges around. Afterward, I enrolled at Emporia State University and earned my degree in education. To God's glory, this is my second year—and hopefully many more to come—at St. Patrick Catholic School. That is a little bit about me; it is a pleasure to share my story with the wonderful families of St. Patrick.
